Farewell, ATL

I’ve spent more than five years living in Atlanta, focused on my job with Delta Air Lines. Before Delta, I never intended to return to Atlanta, so in a sense everything about the past several years has been unexpected. There have been numerous experiences for which I’m immensely grateful  time with my parents, being present for my niece’s birth, living in a Delta hub with easy access to exotic weekend destinations, LEAD Atlanta and so on. This time also included some of the most challenging experiences of my life.

Today I say farewell to the ATL and return to Washington, D.C. for a five month trial, to see if my best life is still there. It feels great — like an invigorating breath of air at the end of a long swim — to have geographic freedom, to choose my home city.
